Ellen has teamed up with TBS to present two more variety shows. One will be from The Comedy Festival in Las Vegas around November of 2008 and another show from Just For Laughs: A Very Funny Comedy Festival in Chicago in the summer of 2009.

"My first special, Ellen's Really Big Show, turned out to be so big that TBS asked me to do another," DeGeneres said. "I said, That'll be tough, but give me two more shows. Ellen's viewer ratings are continuing to climb for the fourth week!!

"While other syndies started sweeps with a whimper, Warner Bros.’ Ellen DeGeneres began with a bang. 

The show hit a season high 2.5 live plus same day national household rating, according to Nielsen Media Research, in the week ending Feb. 3. That includes the first two weekdays of the February sweeps. Ellen jumped 4% from the prior week and 25% from the past month, marking the fourth week in a row that Ellen has shown week-to-week gains." -Broadcastingcable.com

Update: Today Ellen announced that she is now part owner of a dog food company called Halo Purely For Pets. I think this must be the announcement she was talking about in the article below.

Tvweek.com recently published a transcript of an interview with Ellen but here's the most interesting part of the interview
"There’s one thing that will be announced in probably the next month that I’m doing, but it makes total sense because it’s me and it’s something I’m passionate about."

Ellen's camera crew mobilized and along with The Jonas Brothers surprised a bunch of girls waiting to buy tickets to a Jonas Brothers concert in Dallas, Texas. The camera crew and Jonas Brothers popped up on a roof of a near by building and the band played some songs.
